Likely Vikings inactive No. 3
Nick Muse, tight end
Nick Muse fought hard to make the 53-man roster of the Minnesota Vikings and earned his way onto the team but the teams fourth tight end might struggle to be an active player on game day when he's that far down the depth chart.
T.J. Hockenson just got a massive extension and should be the primary tight end with Josh Oliver getting a lot of looks in blocking situations. Johnny Mundt will be the backup to both those guys and play on special teams.
Unless Muse is seen as an asset on special teams, it would be a bit surprising to have him be active unless something happens to keep the three tight ends above him on the depth chart out of action for the day.
Muse is a good player and having him be inactive is better than trying to sneak him onto the practice squad. With how good he looked this preseason, it's not shocking that Minnesota is protecting him on the 53-man roster.
