Likely Vikings inactive No. 4
Andre Carter II, linebacker
It definitely not a lock that Andre Carter II will be inactive against the Buccaneers. Typically, he would be an easy scratch for the Minnesota Vikings with Danielle Hunter, Marcus Davenport, D.J. Wonnum, and Patrick Jones II available.
However, since Davenport was the only player to receive a designation on the final injury report and was listed as questionable, there is a chance he may not be able to play and then Carter might be in line to suit up.
Carter was an undrafted free agent out of Army who showed enough potential during training camp to earn a spot on the team's 53-man roster, making him the least experienced outside linebacker on the team.
He will be a player the Vikings can bring along slowly and help to become an impact player for the future. There is no need to rush him into the defense even though there isn't anything like an actual in-game trial.
