Replacement for Justin Jefferson might not be available vs. Bears
By Adam Patrick
Following the news that superstar Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is going to miss at least the next four games after the team placed him on injured reserve earlier this week, many pointed to rookie receiver Jordan Addison as the guy who could help make up for the absence of No. 18 during the team's next few games.
However, Addison is currently dealing with an injury of his own, and he might also be sidelined when the Vikings head out on the road for a Week 6 matchup against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
An ankle injury resulted in Addison being a limited participant in Minnesota's practice on Wednesday, and the team's latest injury report revealed that the rookie was also a limited participant in Thursday's practice due to his ankle injury.
Addison will likely be listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Chicago, and he'll probably be a game-time decision depending on how much his ankle injury is able to recover during the next few days.
If the rookie is unable to suit up against the Bears, the Vikings will be left with K.J. Osborn, Brandon Powell, N'Keal Harry, and Trishton Jackson as their only active wide receivers for the matchup. Lucky Jackson, Thayer Thomas, and Dan Chisena are also available to promote to the active roster from the practice squad if needed.
Hopefully, Addison will be able to play in Chicago, and he'll be able to help Minnesota improve their record to 2-4 with a victory over the Bears.
