It's fun to think about who the greatest NFL players of all time happen to be at their respective positions. Minnesota Vikings fans have had the pleasure of seeing many of the league's greats in a purple and gold jersey during their careers.

One area where the Vikings have seen a lot of success is at the wide receiver position. Minnesota is currently enjoying the play of star pass-catcher Justin Jefferson but has also enjoyed the play of guys like Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs in recent history.

Looking back into the franchise's history, the Minnesota Vikings have employed a couple of the best wide receivers the league has ever seen. Those individuals have made their way into the team's Ring of Honor as well as the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Ian Valentino of the 33rd Team recently wrote a piece about the Top 10 wide receivers of all time. The star power in the article is legendary, with the league's best highlighted and ranked with a short description of each choice.

At No. 10, Vikings legend Cris Carter is ranked. Carter is Minnesota's franchise leader in receiving yards (12,383) and touchdowns (110) while playing 188 games for the Vikings throughout 12 seasons.

""His hands were legendarily good, and he was the best toe-tapper you'll find. His triumph through struggle would've been impossible for most individuals, but Carter had the type of innate ability to maximize his play despite the trials.""

Many Vikings fans will argue that Randy Moss deserves to be the top player on this list, but he lands in the No. 2 spot. Moss is second among all Minnesota wide receivers in receiving yards (9,316) and touchdowns (92).

""From the moment Randy Moss stepped on an NFL field, it was clear he was a completely different animal than what defenses were used to. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound speedster redefined what a deep threat was, bringing an otherworldy vertical dimension to the Minnesota Vikings across from Carter.""

There is no doubt that Randy Moss was a freak of nature. The highly athletic receiver made some of the most incredible receptions look routine and brought many fans to the Minnesota Vikings after being selected No. 21 overall in the 1998 NFL Draft.

The list also includes legendary receivers like Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, Calvin Johnson, and others. However, seeing two former Minnesota Vikings among so many of the NFL's greatest pass-catchers of all time should make fans quite pleased with these rankings.
