Vikings takeaway No. 3

Turnovers are still a problem.

On a positive note, the Minnesota Vikings actually got a takeaway in this game but they still turned the ball over twice with a moment where it looked as though Alexander Mattison coughed up the ball but the play was thankfully blown dead before the ball came out.

One of the turnovers came when Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson caught a pass and had the ball ripped out of his hands by Chargers safety Alohi Gilman. The other came on Minnesota's final drive of the game when Kirk Cousins threw a ball that bounced around but intended for Hockenson.

Through three games, the Vikings have a minus-seven turnover differential. That ties them with the Las Vegas Raiders for the worst mark in the league but their seven lost fumbles are the most of any team so far this year.

Ball security seems to be a major issue for this Minnesota Vikings team. However, fixing the issue could be tough since the turnovers are coming from a variety of players and some seem to be due to unfortunate bounces instead of player errors.
