Vikings Mock Draft: 2024 mid-season 7-round mock draft

It's about the midway point of the 2023 season, so why not do a Minnesota Vikings mock draft for 2024?

Fourth-Round Pick No. 1

Donovan Jackson - OG (Ohio State)

The Vikings' offensive line is finally starting to play well, and for it to continue to do so, the team would be wise to consistently add to the talent pool in the mid-rounds. Jackson is a beast of a man, standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 320 pounds. He's shockingly mobile for such a large human and can get to the second level quickly, leading blocks down the field.

He's got a strong upper body, which allows him to move defenders off the line, and has powerful legs that help him plant would-be tacklers in the ground. Jackson possesses good lateral movement and can lead outside, having no problem finding pursuing targets to lay out.

He is a little slow off the ball and can succumb to speed rushers. Jackson is also a better run blocker at this point than a pass protector, but that's something that can be honed. Again, accumulating talent on the offensive line needs to be a draft priority for the Vikings, and landing a player like Jackson in the fourth round would be a solid get.
