It's about the midway point of the 2023 season, so why not do a Minnesota Vikings mock draft for 2024?

Fifth-Round Pick No. 2

Christian Haynes - OL (UConn)

The Vikings use another pick to bolster the depth of their offensive line. Christian Hayes is a big boy with plenty of strength and power. He is currently a better run blocker than a pass blocker, with the strength and ability to move defenders off the ball at the point of attack. He's a better athlete than one would expect, with the ability to get to the second level.

Haynes is light on his feet for such a large man and is a natural knee-bender. He sometimes comes off his blocks too early and needs to polish some of his technique. His final position in the pros is also up for debate. Many believe he doesn't have the length to be a tackle and could be forced inside. That could mean he ends up as a guard, which is where he played in college, but some even think he could end up as a center.

He may be a guy who develops into a swing player being able to fill in at multiple positions. That isn't a bad thing, and the Vikings could use a young player who provides just that.
