What are some of the most notable Minnesota Vikings news and rumors as the team prepares for a Week 7 matchup on Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers?

We're in the thick of the 2023 regular season, and there is plenty of Minnesota Vikings news to sort through as the team gets ready to take on the San Francisco 49ers this week.

Some of the most notable Vikings headlines include the team's all-time rushing leader getting eliminated from a celebrity dance competition, Minnesota pass rusher Marcus Davenport potentially missing more than four games, an update on the injury statuses of three top 49ers players, and a Vikings offensive lineman sitting out Thursday's practice.

So, let's get into all of this Minnesota-related news.

Former Vikings RB Adrian Peterson eliminated from DWTS

A few weeks ago, it was revealed that former Minnesota All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson was going to be a contestant on the latest season of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars".

If anyone is unfamiliar with the show, it features athletes and celebrities taking part in a dance competition.

Peterson was able to stiff-arm an elimination from the show during the first three weeks of the competition, but his performance this week with his professional dancing partner Britt Stewart ended up being his final one on the show.

The future Hall of Famer and Stewart performed a Viennese Waltz together to the tune of "Baby Mine” from the classic Disney animated film “Dumbo” as part of the show's Disney100 theme for the week. Unfortunately for Peterson, his moves on the dance floor weren't good enough to prevent him from being sent home.
