Which Minnesota Vikings news headlines stand out the most after the team's ugly win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon?

There is definitely more than enough Minnesota Vikings news to talk about after the team narrowly escaped their trip out west with an underwhelming 3-0 victory in a Week 14 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

Some of the most recent Vikings news centers around Vikings safety Harrison Smith, Minnesota wide receiver Justin Jefferson, the NFC North standings, and more.

So, let's just get right into all of it!

Harrison Smith sets a Vikings all-time record

Following Sunday's win over the Raiders, Minnesota head coach Kevin O'Connell awarded veteran safety Harrison Smith a game ball. Smith had a solid performance in Las Vegas with two tackles, but the game ball wasn't for what he did out on the field this weekend.

Instead, the longtime Vikings safety was recognized for appearing in his 172nd game with the franchise. Smith now holds the Minnesota record for most games played by a defensive back, which was previously held by Hall of Fame safety Paul Krause.
