Minnesota Vikings have highest odds to be the next team for Russell Wilson

Yes, you read that right. For some reason, early odds have the Vikings with the best chance to be the next team for current Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson.

According to odds shared by The Draft Network's Jaime Eisner on Thursday, Minnesota's +500 odds of being Wilson's next NFL home are currently better than any other team in the league.

Among the other teams with some of the highest early odds to land Wilson in 2024 are the New England Patriots (+600 odds), Las Vegas Raiders (+700 odds), and Washington Commanders (+700 odds).

On Wednesday, the Broncos benched Wilson and announced Jared Stidham as their new starting quarterback for their Week 17 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the decision was made to ensure that Denver doesn't end up on the hook for a $37 million injury guarantee that will become fully guaranteed in March.

The Broncos are also expected to cut Wilson during the upcoming offseason, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, which is why next team odds for the quarterback have already been generated.

After his expected departure from Denver, will Wilson's next stop in the NFL be the Twin Cities, just as oddsmakers currently believe?
