Danielle Hunter cashes in and passes Vikings legend on Saturday

Unfortunately, the Vikings were unable to defeat the Bengals on Saturday, but the result of the matchup certainly wasn't due to the performance of Minnesota pass rusher Danielle Hunter.

Hunter had a monster day in Cincinnati, as he accumulated five tackles (three for a loss), two sacks, and two QB hits. The Vikings' pass rusher now has 15.5 sacks this season, which is currently the second-most in the NFL, behind only T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With the two sacks Hunter added to his 2023 total on Saturday, he also moved past former Minnesota defensive end Jared Allen for sixth on the franchise's list for career sacks. Now, only five players have been able to generate more sacks in a Vikings uniform than Hunter.

And to make the loss to the Bengals a little easier to swallow, since Hunter was able to accumulate more than 14 sacks this season, he activated a $3 million incentive bonus in his contract.

Minnesota's veteran pass rusher has clearly excelled in the team's new defensive scheme this year, and with three games still left on the team's regular-season schedule, it will be fun to see how many more Vikings records he could potentially break.
