Former Vikings QB Case Keenum to start for Houston Texans on Sunday
With rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud unable to start due to a concussion, the Houston Texans will turn to former Vikings signal-caller Case Keenum as their starter in their Week 15 matchup against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
For Keenum, it will be his first NFL start since Week 18 of the 2021 season when he was a member of the Cleveland Browns.
With a 7-6 record entering Week 15, the Texans will be relying on the former Minnesota quarterback to keep their playoff hopes alive when they take on the Titans.
Houston is currently the No. 8 seed in the AFC playoff picture, and they are also just one game behind the Jacksonville Jaguars for the top spot in the AFC South.
Keenum, of course, helped lead the Vikings to one of their most successful seasons in the recent past, back in 2017. Thanks in part to his play on the field, Minnesota won 13 games during the 2017 season and made it all the way to the NFC Championship.
Since that magical year, Keenum has had stints around the NFL with the Texans, Browns, Buffalo Bills, Washington Commanders, and Denver Broncos.
