With their first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings decided to use their selection on former USC wide receiver Jordan Addison.
If the Minnesota Vikings wanted to, they could have used their first-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft on either Will Levis or Hendon Hooker, as both quarterbacks were still on the board when the team went on the clock with the No. 23 pick on Thursday.
However, the Vikings opted against using the selection on either passing prospect, and instead, they used their first-round pick on former USC wide receiver Jordan Addison.
Vikings News: Minnesota adds WR Jordan Addison in 2023 NFL Draft
After transferring from the University of Pittsburgh, where he had a very productive 2021 season (17 touchdown catches), Addison finished the 2022 campaign at USC with 59 receptions for 875 yards and eight touchdowns.
He's a little on the smaller side (5-foot-11, 173 pounds), but he makes up for his smaller stature with his speed (4.49 time in the 40-yard dash) and his playmaking ability (15.4 yards per catch average in last two seasons).
