Vikings News: Kirk Cousins, Jacoby Brissett, Jaren Hall, Ezra Cleveland

Vikings name Jaren Hall their starter for Week 9
With Kirk Cousins unable to play after tearing his Achilles, the Vikings are in need of a new starting quarterback for their next game.
Up next on the schedule for Minnesota is a Week 9 road matchup on Sunday against a 4-4 Atlanta Falcons team. With pretty much no other logical options, Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell announced on Tuesday that the team is preparing for rookie quarterback Jaren Hall to start on Sunday against the Falcons.
Hall was selected by Minnesota in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft earlier this year. He spent his college career at BYU, and during his final season at the school, he threw 31 touchdowns in 12 games, averaged over 260 passing yards per contest, and rushed for 350 yards and three scores.
In his first start as an NFL quarterback, Hall will get to go up against an Atlanta defense that just allowed Tennessee Titans rookie signal-caller Will Levis to throw for four touchdowns.
Will the Vikings' rookie passer have similar success against the Falcons, or will his inexperience prevent him from leading Minnesota to a victory?
