Vikings News: T.J. Hockenson, Dalvin Cook, trade targets, and Dalton Risner
By Adam Patrick
As their Week 8 matchup against the Green Bay Packers inches closer, what have been some of the most notable Minnesota Vikings news and rumors floating around?
Since upsetting the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night, some of the latest Minnesota Vikings news and rumors certainly have featured more of an optimistic tone.
This weekend, the Vikings will attempt to improve their 2023 record to 4-4 when they head out on the road to take on the rival Green Bay Packers.
During the last couple of days, some of the most notable Minnesota-related news headlines and rumors surrounding the team have involved Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson, former Minnesota running back Dalvin Cook, Vikings offensive guard Dalton Risner, and more.
So let's just get right into everything.
Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson returns to practice
During the win over the 49ers this past Monday, Hockenson suffered a foot injury, and on Wednesday, he sat out of Minnesota's first practice of the week.
Because of this, some began to speculate whether the veteran tight end was going to be available for the upcoming Packers matchup or not. Luckily, it seems like that speculation was put to bed on Thursday.
While it was only limited participation, Hockenson took part in the Vikings' practice on Thursday, and it certainly seems more probable that he will play in Green Bay this weekend.
If he ends up on Minnesota's final injury report of the week at all, it wouldn't be surprising if he was listed as questionable. But with him returning to practice on Thursday, the chances of Hockenson suiting up to take on the Packers on Sunday seem much higher than they were earlier in the week.
