Prospect No. 4

Dallas Turner - EDGE (Alabama)

If you ask me, the biggest need for the Vikings heading into 2024 is edge players.

Danielle Hunter has had to carry the load far too often, and there is a non-zero chance that he is not on the team next season.

Even if he does return, Minnesota will need to add depth to the edge to help take some pressure off of the secondary.

Alabama's Dallas Turner should be available with the 11th pick, but his range really starts with the Atlanta Falcons at eighth overall.

If he does make it to Minnesota, the team should have absolutely zero issues with taking him to be the future of the defense.

Turner is such a good athlete in pursuit, which allows him to chase down quarterbacks in space.

When he is engaged with a blocker, he does a good job of switching up his attack and can win with power or agility against tackles.

The Vikings need to improve in this area in a major way, and taking a proven player like Turner with the 11th pick may not be a flashy choice, but it will result in a better defensive output for a long time.
