As the college football season rages on, which matchups from Week 2 should the Vikings keep a close scouting eye on? These five matchups could be exciting.

The Minnesota Vikings will have another chance to scout college talent this weekend before their own season even begins. Week 2 of the college campaign offers a more competitive slate than the opening weekend typically does, and Minnesota's front office should be very active as they begin to tune their big boards.

While the college season is not in full throttle just yet, there are a handful of key games this weekend and a handful of prospect matchups that could be worth a watch to pass the time before the Vikings finally get the ball rolling in 2023.

Each week throughout the season, I will highlight some prospect matchups that should be interesting from a number of standpoints. Whether the goal is to see a highly-ranked prospect in a primetime matchup or to see two prospects go head-to-head, there will certainly be some intriguing games to watch each Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings have already reportedly sent scouts to several games over the first two weekends of the college season. With things ramping up, the scouting department should be plenty busy in Week 2 as the docket features quite the test for some prospects that need to prove themselves.
