Seventh-Round Pick (227th Overall)

Taulia Tagovailoa - QB (Maryland)

The Vikings decide to double up at the quarterback position as they go offense with every single pick. Taulia Tagovailoa isn't the prospect that his brother is, but he has plenty of traits that can be developed.

Tagovailoa is a dynamic athlete. He's thick enough to withstand hits and can pick up first downs and more by using his legs.

He's got a lightning-quick release and throws a very accurate and catchable ball. Tagovailoa also makes quick decisions in the pocket and is confident about where he wants to go with the football.

Tagovailoa was very impressive during the East-West Shrine Bowl, where he came in and immediately moved the ball down the field and put points on the board.

While the defense likely wasn't ready to defend against an RPO style of offense, his decisions to run when he did and then throw quickly and accurately were truly a sight to behold.

Taulia doesn't have the strongest arm, and sometimes his deep balls will come up a few yards short. He also doesn't have the desired height, as he stands just 5-foot-11.

That being said, there's plenty to work with here, and he is someone the Vikings could look to develop in the hopes he evolves into a high-end backup down the road.
