Vikings player to be excited about No. 2
Ivan Pace Jr., linebacker
The Minnesota Vikings found a diamond in the rough when they signed undrafted free agent Ivan Pace Jr. The young linebacker quickly earned a spot next to Jordan Hicks in the starting lineup during training camp and preseason.
Pace had a huge season for a rookie. He had 102 combined tackles to go with 2.5 sacks, 2 pass defenses, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and an interception. At 23 years old, he has the potential to keep getting better.
Minnesota's young defender was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Week 14 against the Las Vegas Raiders in a 3-0 victory, an impressive accolade for an undrafted rookie.
Ivan Pace Jr. has been a great find for defensive coordinator Brian Flores and the Minnesota Vikings defense. His second year with the purple and gold will be fun to watch as he continues to gain experience.
