Reason No. 2

The NFC North is wide open

At this point, the Minnesota Vikings are already in a bit of a hole if looking at the idea of being a Wild Card team in the playoffs. However, the path through being a division champion isn't nearly as intimidating at this point.

Both the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers have a 1-1 record through the first two weeks and have each shown to have some areas in their game that can be exploited. Neither is a lock to win the NFC North.

Chaos is the name for the Chicago Bears, who are looking really bad offensively and are dealing with some strange issues regarding their coaching staff. They shouldn't be considered to be much of a threat.

Since the Minnesota Vikings have yet to play a divisional game this year, it is far too early to think they can't make some noise in the NFC North. This is the best route for the team to take when fighting for a playoff spot.
