Minnesota Vikings 2023 preseason schedule and results

When compared to the release of the regular season schedule, the unveiling of the Minnesota Vikings preseason schedule is much lower on the excitement scale. However, the preseason schedule is very important to a number of current players in the Vikings locker room that are trying to earn a spot on the team's final roster.

Since Minnesota has more road games than home games on their regular-season schedule this year, their preseason schedule will feature two contests on their home field inside U.S. Bank Stadium and just one in another team's home stadium.

Unlike past years, no roster cuts will be made until after the Vikings' final preseason game of the summer. Following the last exhibition contest on their schedule, Minnesota will have to trim their roster from 90 players down to 53.

• WEEK 1 — Thursday, Aug. 10, 9 p.m. CT: at Seattle Seahawks
• WEEK 2 — Saturday, Aug. 19, 7 p.m. CT: Tennessee Titans
• WEEK 3 — Saturday, Aug. 26, 12 p.m. CT: Arizona Cardinals

For the players on the roster bubble, training camp practices and these three games will be the only opportunities to prove to the Vikings coaching staff that they deserve to remain with the team during the regular season.
