Tremaine Edmunds - ILB

This one was a toss-up between Jaylon Johnson and Tremaine Edmunds. Johnson covers a huge need for the Vikings in their cornerback room, but Minnesota's linebacker situation isn't very bright either, so I went with Edmunds.

The thought of Edmunds lined up in the middle of a Brian Flores defense would have most Vikings fans salivating. Edmunds is a big, physical inside linebacker who consistently gets over 100 tackles a season, and probably the best part of his game is his ability to hold his own in coverage.

Pairing Edmunds with second-year linebacker Brian Asamoah would give Minnesota a young and exciting duo in the middle of the defense for the foreseeable future. Edmunds is a massive upgrade over the aging Jordan Hicks, who struggled mightily in 2022 and may be fighting for his starting spot this offseason.

Stealing Edmunds solidifies the linebacker position and would allow Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Kevin O'Connell to focus on the two most important positions on defense; interior defensive line and cornerback.
