Detroit Lions

Frank Ragnow - C

This pick was the closest to an obvious choice. Lions center Frank Ragnow is one of, if not the best center in all of football.

Garrett Bradbury's career in Minnesota caught a second wind with a solid 2022 campaign. However, it was not enough for me not to pick Ragnow.

The interior offensive line of the Vikings is still a problem, with Bradbury's inability to stop larger, stronger interior defensive linemen from breaking through, to Ed Ingram's knack for getting penalized, to Ezra Cleveland's up-and-down play all season, it is a miracle that Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins hasn't missed any time due to injury.

Ragnow's presence alone could help Ingram and Cleveland improve in the heart of the Vikings' offensive line. The play of Ragnow speaks for itself. Week in and week out, he is dominating the opposing defense's nose tackles, something you don't see very often from Bradbury.

Adding Ragnow to the Vikings' offense would give Kevin O'Connell the opportunity to call more deep shots down the field. You got the sense at times in 2022 that O'Connell couldn't call for many deep passes because he knew Cousins was going to have pressure in his face fairly quickly. With Ragnow, that wouldn't happen.
