Vikings training camp takeaway No. 2
A young receiver looks fantastic
When scouring social media for notes on what some of the observations were from the first practice of training camp, there was one observation that would being repeated by nearly everyone who was there to witness the acivities.
Apparently, wide receiver Jalen Nailor was making quite a positive impression during training camp when given an opportunity to take on a bit of a bigger role than what was previously asked of him. The Athletic's Alec Lewis was one who was raving about him.
In three-receiver sets today, Nailor joined Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn. This is a very good sign for him when it comes to making the team's 53-man roster after catching only nine passes during his rookie year for 179 yards and a touchdown.
Of course, first-round draft pick Jordan Addison was a full participant and will be in the mix as well as they ease him into action. However, the coaching staff clearly has some things they really like about Jalen Nailor and fans will likely be seeing more of him this season.
