5 Vikings who have offered almost nothing to the team in 2023

Vikings player No. 1
Lewis Cine, safety
It was one thing when Minnesota Vikings safety Lewis Cine was struggling to stay healthy, but when the young defender is a healthy scratch from games, eyebrows need to be raised and questions need to be asked.
Cine was a first-round draft pick of the Vikings in 2022 and the first selection ever made by Minnesota general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. When he was selected, it sounded like the team had a clear plan for him and were excited about getting him into the defense.
Instead, Josh Metellus seems to have filled that joker-type role with Harrison Smith and Camryn Bynum having a strong grip on the starting safety spots, leaving no real room on the field for Cine to show his skills.
Even though Cine has seen action in four games for the Minnesota Vikings this season, he has yet to take a single defensive snap. He has been a part of 51 special teams plays, but it is still hard not to be at least a little disappointed with the team's investment.
