Vikings player No. 4

Kene Nwangwu, running back

It feels a bit unfair to single out any Minnesota Vikings running backs since the unit as a whole has been missing in action this season, but it has been an extremely tough year for young rusher Kene Nwangwu.

The 25-year-old Iowa State product has been excellent on kick returns in the past. In fact, at one time it seemed as though he was the best in the league at returning kickoffs. That hasn't been the case for him this season since he has only played in one game.

In his singular game, Nwangwu had two kickoff returns where he averaged 28 yards per return. Otherwise, he has only taken a total of 11 special teams snaps through the team's first eight contests.

Even more disappointing is that he hasn't seen a single offensive snap. His speed and hands could be a big asset and there was room for him to have a role in the offense when Dalvin Cook exited, but it hasn't worked out that way for him.
