Move No. 3

Focusing on having an explosive passing game

Some Vikings fans were surprised when so many changes were made to the defensive personnel of the team yet Minnesota made the decision to use their first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on wide reciever Jordan Addison.

Sure, the Minnesota Vikings could have played it super safe and selected an edge rusher, cornerback, or other defensive player in that spot, but instead they wanted to ensure that their offense could hang with any team in the NFL.

The Vikings will be prioritizing extensions for megastar Justin Jefferson and exciting young tight end T.J. Hockenson as well as looking for a potential replacement for quarterback Kirk Cousins after this season.

Minnesota has put a lot of faith in their young players and new defensive coordinator to get results while continuing to invest in weapons for the passing offense. For now, they seem to be focused on putting points on the board.
