For the first time in the history of the franchise, the Minnesota Vikings will wear a white helmet during one of their games next season.

On Thursday, the Vikings finally revealed their long-rumored alternate uniform for the upcoming 2024 campaign. Minnesota is calling them their "Winter Warrior" uniforms.

The Vikings will wear their new "Winter Warrior" uniform next season during their Week 15 Monday night matchup against the Chicago Bears inside U.S. Bank Stadium.

New Minnesota Vikings uniform features a number of intriguing elements

Included in their announcement, Minnesota shared some of the unique details about their new alternate uniform, including a new Vikings wordmark that matches the SKOL font that is used throughout the team's stadium and graphics, jersey numbers that feature silver "icicle drip" outlines around them, and nordic knots on the back neckline of the jersey.

Minnesota has done some sort of whiteout game in each of its previous two seasons with Kevin O'Connell as the team's head coach. The Vikings wore their all-white uniforms at home back in 2022 during a Week 16 win over the New York Giants, and then last season, they wore their all-white uniforms for their Week 16 matchup against the Detroit Lions inside U.S. Bank Stadium.

As it was mentioned earlier, Minnesota has never worn a helmet during a game that doesn't feature purple as the main color. So, it will truly be a history-making moment when the Vikings trot out onto the field in these new alternate uniforms next season to take on the Bears.
