Vikings potential trade No. 3

K.J. Osborn, wide receiver

Another of the players that the Minnesota Vikings are reported to be getting calls about, K.J. Osborn is in the final year of his rookie deal. The team will need to decide if they want to work out an extension or let him test free agency.

Osborn may not be a WR1 in the league, but capable pass-catchers can carve out great roles for themselves and have a lot of success while helping a team find a rhythm on the offensive of the football.

Why this trade could work:

Working out a deal for Osborn would save the Vikings from getting only a small compensatory pick if he leaves in free agency. Not only that, but quite a few teams should be interested in adding him to their roster.

Why this trade might not happen:

Minnesota should still be interested in working out an extension to keep K.J. Osborn with the Vikings to retain the trio of Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Osborn. Plus, the Vikings still believe they can right the ship, meaning assets like Osborn might not be on the table.
