Vikings potential trade target No. 1

Kyler Murray, QB - Arizona Cardinals

Things aren't good in the desert for Kyler Murray. The Cardinals franchise seems to be in a tailspin and wiping the slate clean might be a good idea. That's where the Minnesota Vikings can take advantage of the situation.

Murray is currently on Arizona's PUP list and isn't likely to be activated before the deadline and is almost assured to miss at least four games this year. Add that to his five-year extension worth $230.5 million

With his recent struggles and massive contract, trading for the 26-year-old should take a lot less in draft assets than attempting to draft a franchise guy in the 2024 NFL Draft if the team is high on Murray's potential.

This would be a bold move for the Vikings, who are on the final year of Kirk Cousins' contract and will likely be looking for a long-term answer at the position as the franchise prepares for many more years under head coach Kevin O'Connell.
