Week 5 - vs. Kansas City Chiefs

No matter what happens in the Carolina game, it is hard to imagine, with how this season has gone, the Vikings will pull out a win in this game. I expect them to keep it a lot closer than most will predict, but in the end, the lack of a pass rush outside of Danielle Hunter will hurt Minnesota in this game.

Seeing the numbers that Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert put up last Sunday should be a precursor to what Chiefs signal-caller Patrick Mahomes could do in this game. The Vikings' defense just hasn't clicked, and that's bad news when the league's best quarterback comes to town.

Prediction: Vikings lose (1-4)

Week 6 - at Chicago Bears

Could this be the Caleb Williams Bowl? Well, no, it probably won't be, but both of these teams could be winless when they meet in Week 6.

The Bears have been the worst team in football through three weeks, and all those signings they made in the offseason haven't worked out yet.

This could be a trap game for the Vikings, but in the end, I believe more in a Kevin O'Connell offense than I do in that Matt Eberflus defense. If Minnesota can make Justin Fields throw the ball, the Vikings should have a stress-free day.

Prediction: Vikings win (2-4)
