Week 7 - vs. San Fransisco 49ers (Monday Night Football)

The 49ers are a machine right now and are, deservedly, the early favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. What is even scarier about this San Francisco team is that they don't miss DeMeco Ryans in the slightest.

For the Vikings to pull off an upset, they will need to do what they've struggled to do so far this season and generate a pass rush. If Minnesota's defense can pressure Brock Purdy, they have a chance.

In this game, I just don't see them pulling this one out. The Niners' defense will most certainly have a game plan for Justin Jefferson and have an immense advantage on the defensive line going up against the Vikings' interior offensive line.

Prediction: Vikings lose (2-5)

Week 8 - at Green Bay Packers

This one was a toss-up. I could see the Vikings winning this game fairly smoothly, but could also see them having another multiple-turnover game and somehow creating another new way to lose a matchup.

Jordan Love has been okay, and their defense has looked up and down through the first couple of weeks. However, on the road, in a hostile environment, it may be too much to ask of this Minnesota team to play a complete game.

The duo of Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon could have a big game as the Vikings defense currently has no answers for stopping the run, which ultimately leads to another loss for Kevin O'Connell and company.

Prediction: Vikings lose (2-6)
