Pros and Cons of the Minnesota Vikings keeping Dalvin Cook

Pro No. 1: Consistency

Last season, the Minnesota Vikings made the switch to being more of a pass-happy offense than a ground and pound attack. Despite that, Dalvin Cook has the second-most rushing attempts of his career in 2022.

There is no doubt that the Vikings valued Cook's talents as a rusher and the fact he was able to play all 17 regular season games was huge for him on his way to his fourth consecutive season with over 1,000 yards rushing.

Bringing that kind of consistency back to a team that won 13 games last season would be nice. However, the team is also making a lot of changes to prepare for the future while still being competitive.

Having a known threat in the backfield to pair with their young, exciting receivers would force opposing defenses to play honestly and give each offensive weapon a chance to win their respective matchups and gain a lot of yards.
