Watching Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo sit on the top of many big boards and not be selected until the third pick of Round 4 by the Eagles was a bit surprising based on his talent and pre-draft projections leading up to the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Minnesota Vikings decided to take USC cornerback Mekhi Blackmon in the third round instead of taking Ringo with that pick, making these two players at the same position something to watch going forward.

Ringo enters a fantastic situation for him where he is part of a strong defensive unit and has some familiar faces around him while he develops at the NFL level, which likely wouldn't have been the case for him with the purple and gold.

Time will tell which defender ends up having the better career. If Kelee Ringo ends up being a great player, there is definitely a chance the Vikings could regret not picking him with their third round selection.
