Quarterback No. 1
Nick Mullens
There is a reason the Minnesota Vikings brought Nick Mullens back to be the QB2 behind Kirk Cousins. The team believes he can step in and win some games if the situation arises where he is asked to do that.
With 24 starts under his belt, Mullens has experience that makes him appealing. Plus, he has never thrown more interceptions than touchdowns in a season. With great weapons around him, Mullens seems like a capable backup.
Despite his experience, winning isn't something Mullens has experienced much of as a starter. In fact, out of 17 starts, his team has only been victorious on five occasions, which doesn't bode well if the Vikings are still fighting for the playoffs.
At the moment, Nick Mullens should be considered the most likely quarterback to step in as the starter if something should happen to Kirk Cousins. However, that doesn't mean that he will be the only option.
