Quarterback No. 13

Gus Frerotte (2003 - 2004, 2008)

Minnesota utilized Gus Frerotte mostly as a backup during his first stint with the team from 2003 to 2004. But when Frerotte returned to the Vikings in 2008, the team turned to him as their starter after they benched Tarvaris Jackson early in the season.

Despite Frerotte posting a 73.7 passer rating during his time on the field in 2008, Minnesota still managed to get wins in eight of his 11 starts that season.

The most memorable play of his Vikings career took place during a Week 13 win over the Bears in 2008 when he tossed a 99-yard touchdown pass to former Minnesota wide receiver Bernard Berrian.

Quarterback No. 12

Tarvaris Jackson (2006 - 2010)

Selected as the Vikings' quarterback of the future during Brad Childress' first year as the team's head coach, Tarvaris Jackson's skill-set was never really a fit for Minnesota's offense during his time with the franchise.

Jackson was given the chance to be the Vikings' starting quarterback in 2007, and even though his numbers were less than desirable, the team still managed to earn wins in eight of his 12 starts.

Expectations were higher for Jackson in 2008, but he was benched by Childress after just two games, and he mainly served as a backup for the remainder of his tenure in Minnesota, which came to an end after the 2010 season.
