Reason to be optimistic No. 2

There are players who can step up.

Make no mistake about it, the Minnesota Vikings are going to miss Justin Jefferson. Arguably the best wide receiver in the league, Jefferson commands attention from opposing defenses and can make tricky catches look easy at times.

Recently, Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell talked about how Minnesota has "plenty of playmakers" despite not having Jefferson on the field. One thing is for certain, they will need someone to step up in a big way.

Whether it is T.J. Hockenson, Jordan Addison, K.J. Osborn, or another offensive weapon, Minnesota will have to find a way to move the ball without their top offensive weapon available, whether that be through the air or on the ground.

If you have no faith in the rest of the Minnesota Vikings roster, it's understandable to have a defeatist mindset. For the rest of fans, seeing if Justin Jefferson's teammates are ready to rise to the occasion should be fun to watch.
