Reason to be optimistic No. 3

Cleaning up mistakes will fix a lot.

It should come as no surprise that the Minnesota Vikings are dead last in turnover differential this year. At -9 through five games, it's a little surprising they have the one win they were able to accomplish this season.

Eight fumbles lost is a disgusting number. Ball security needs to be a priority for the Vikings, especially now that their most explosive weapon is sidelined. Giving away possessions makes winning extremely difficult.

Making unforced errors like dropping passes or missing a blocking assignment can make a huge difference in the outcome of a game. That includes mistakes at the coaching level including challenges and time-outs.

Focusing on executing plays properly while being in the right place at the right time will go a long way on both sides of the ball and put the Minnesota Vikings in the position to turn a slim defeat into a narrow victory.
