As he has been doing all summer long, Minnesota Vikings rookie kicker Will Reichard delivered an excellent performance on Saturday during the team's 26-3 preseason victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Thanks in part to Reichard making all six of his kicks (four field goals and two extra points) on Saturday, the Vikings were able to get a win in their final exhibition game of the year and end the 2024 preseason with a 3-0 record. It's the first time since 2016 that Minnesota has finished a preseason with an unbeaten record.

In 2016, the Vikings were unable to take their success from the preseason and carry it into the regular season, as they finished that year on the outside of the playoffs with an 8-8 record. Minnesota will be hoping for a more positive result in 2024 following the team's latest undefeated preseason.

Minnesota Vikings must now make important roster decisions after preseason win over Philadelphia Eagles

Sure, it was nice for the Vikings to end the 2024 preseason on a high note with an easy victory over the Eagles on Saturday. But now, Minnesota needs to trim its roster all the way down to 53 players before Tuesday at 3 p.m. CST.

Many of the spots on the Vikings' roster have likely been decided already, so the coaching staff and front office will just have to figure out which players on the bubble are worthy of keeping around for the upcoming regular season.

Minnesota quarterback Jaren Hall did just about everything he could on Saturday in Philadelphia to prove to the Vikings that he deserves a spot on the team's final roster.

Against the Eagles, Hall completed 68 percent of his 25 pass attempts for 189 yards and two touchdowns. It was arguably the best performance he's ever had in a Minnesota uniform, but now he must wait to see if it was enough to convince the team to give him a spot on the regular-season roster.

Hall is one of many players who will have their futures with the Vikings decided over the course of the next few days. Some will get to continue their journey with Minnesota this year, while others will need to find a new home in order to keep their NFL dreams alive.
