Rumor suggests a new Vikings helmet design will be used in 2024
By Adam Carlson
There has been a lot of talk recently about NFL teams getting new versions of their uniforms for the 2024 NFL season. The Minnesota Vikings aren't one of the franchises in line to make major changes to their uniforms this year.
In the past, the Vikings have changed their designs and shown off alternate jerseys like Color Rush on occasion. However, the team has maintained its appearance for several years and doesn't need an overhaul anytime soon.
The fact that Minnesota has a well-established jersey and helmet combination won't stop the team from looking into some fresh and fun alternate looks in the future. In fact, it is rumored that the Vikings are looking into an interesting alternate helmet for the upcoming season.
Rumor: A new Minnesota Vikings helmet design will be used in 2024
The Vikings are going to look a little different in 2024 and it might not only be because Kirk Cousins will no longer be behind center for the team. It is rumored that a new helmet design could be coming as part of an alternate uniform look for the team during the upcoming season.
Recently, UniWatch shared information on their website and social media channels that the Vikings are seemingly going to make use of their "winter white-out" theme once again during the upcoming season and shared a "leak" of the new look from CTESPN.
The possible "winter white-out" jersey looks clean but it was UniWatch adding the nugget about a helmet to match these uniforms that is the most interesting part of this rumor. In the past, Minnesota paired their white jerseys with purple helmets but that might not be the case during the upcoming season if the team wears these alternate colors.
An interesting note on the jerseys is that the serifs on the numbers are gone and they have been replaced with icicles. Combining those uniforms for a clean, white helmet could be an interesting look for a new-look Minnesota team.
Vikings fans have been hungry for alternate looks for Minnesota for many years with many people loving when the team uses their throwback jerseys. However, an all-white jersey and helmet combination when the fans are asked to wear all-white clothing in the middle of a cold and snowy winter could be an entertaining and interesting way to celebrate the team while having a little fun at the expense of the harsh Midwest winter.
