Now that the Minnesota Vikings have completed all three of their preseason games, the task of narrowing the roster to 53 active players is the next step toward getting ready for regular season action.

Many Vikings players will see their dreams meet a crushing roadblock as they are released leading up to cut day. For some of those players, this could be their last opportunity to latch on to an NFL franchise and continue their professional football aspirations.

Other players will land a spot on the practice squad or look to be signed by another team. These individuals have usually flashed some potential or are young and might be a better fit with another organization.

The Minnesota Vikings showcased former first-round draft pick Lewis Cine in their last two preseason contests. He impressed against the Cleveland Browns but failed to make a positive impression during the final preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Still firmly on the roster bubble, Cine needed a big training camp and preseason to secure a spot on the Vikings' 53-man roster. Minnesota could have the young safety on the trading block but if they fail to move him, they might choose to release him.

Recently, Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine released a list of players who are on the roster bubble who could help another team this season. Lewis Cine is one of the players on the timely list and his portion of the piece has an interesting nugget attached.

"The Ravens have a strong starting trio but but Marcus Williams and Eddie Jackson are both on the older side. Cine could be the fourth safety who develops into a long-term solution at the position."

Cine would not be a great option for another team to pick up as a starter, but a team who is looking for a young player who they feel could develop into a contributor could definitely take a flyer on the young defensive back.

Baltimore is an interesting option for Lewis Cine. If he can stay healthy, his physical playstyle could lend nicely to the Ravens and they could slowly bring him in as a special teamer and work him into the defense.

Ballentine also lists the New York Jets and New York Giants as potential landing spots. Both those are interesting landing spots because they are opponents for the Minnesota Vikings this year.

Lewis Cine will be an intriguing player to watch as the deadline for roster cuts inches closer. Teams must complete their cuts by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, August 27.
