Starting Cornerbacks
- Andrew Booth Jr.
There was a huge turnaround in the cornerback grouping of the Minnesota Vikings with the team making the decision to say goodbye to both veteran Patrick Peterson and young defender Cameron Dantzler.
Those exits will open the door for a player like Andrew Booth Jr. to step into a bigger role and attempt to prove that he can be healthy and effective in a bigger role when he turns 23 years old this September.
- Byron Murphy Jr.
To pair with Booth's youth and potential, expect the Vikings to try to get as much as possible out of former Cardinals defensive back Byron Murphy Jr. who Minnesota signed this offseason for his experience.
In four seasons in Arizona, Murphy started 48 games, intercepting five passes while defending a total of 34 passes thrown his way. The former second-round draft pick is only 25 years old but also stands five-foot-eleven, which could limit his coverage abililty.
