Vikings roster takeaway No. 2

The tightest of ends

One of the most interesting players to watch heading into the roster cuts was tight end Nick Muse. His preseason performance got him quite a bit of attention and trying to slide him onto a practice squad could have been difficult.

Since T.J. Hockenson, Josh Oliver, and Johnny Mundt were all likely to make the team, it meant that Muse would have to force the team to keep four tight ends in order for him to have a place on the roster.

And that's exactly what happened. Muse played himself into a roster spot and may have to contribute on special teams in order to give the team value, but it's great to see the 24-year-old continue to impress the team.

Four tight ends along with a fullback is quite a lot to invest in players who may primarily be blockers but when a player fights hard enough to earn a spot on the team's roster, it's hard not to be impressed by the efforts.
