Vikings takeaway No. 3

Offensive line depth is essential

Starting center Garrett Bradbury was ruled out for this game and backup Austin Schlottmann ended up getting the nod to start. That wasn't the most notable thing to happen with the offensive line this week.

Left tackle Christian Darrisaw was able to suit up for this game despite being included on the injury report but he did not finish the game. When he exited, Oli Udoh came in. He was carted out later in the contest, and that brought David Quessenberry into the lineup.

The strength and depth of the offensive line of the Minnesota Vikings is questionable enough to begin with, but when you add in a backup center and third-string left tackle, things can go south pretty quickly.

It wouldn't be too shocking if the Vikings took a look at what is available in free agency. Quessenberry seemed to hold his own for the most part, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to add a bit more talent to the unit, even if it is just for depth.
