Vikings takeaway No. 6

The division is still wide open.

It wasn't that long ago that social media seemed to have quite a few individuals talking about the Minnesota Vikings tanking for a better draft pick. The current situation has hopefully lowered the volume of those rumblings.

At the moment, the Vikings sit in second place in the NFC North. The Lions losing to the Ravens and Packers losing to the Broncos has allowed Minnesota to climb into a spot where they can start realistically looking at how to approach the rest of the season.

Next week, the Vikings will travel to Green Bay for their second divisional game of the season, A win there would be huge in setting up a situation where there could be a lot of drama when Minnesota takes on Detroit twice in the final three weeks of the season.

For all the frustration the Minnesota Vikings have caused fans this year, this game has to restore a little bit of faith. This was a game very few expected them to win, yet they found a way to hand the 49ers their second loss of the season.
