Vikings takeaway No. 2

The Josh Dobbs era should be over

Remember when the official NFL accounts were changing their profile pictures to Josh Dobbs and all the major sports media organizations were praising him for his play after arriving with the Minnesota Vikings in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals?

That feels like a long time ago now that "The Passtronaut" has come crashing down to Earth. This game saw his first two passes nearly be intercepted and completed only 10 of his 23 pass attempts for 63 yards while taking five sacks.

Finally, the Vikings coaching staff had seen enough and made the change to Nick Mullens. In only 13 attempts, Mullens completed nine passes for 83 yards and didn't take a single sack. It sparked the team and got them into position for what would be a game-winning field goal.

If the Minnesota Vikings were questioning a change before this game, this performance should cement the decision to move Dobbs down the depth chart. It was a fun story while it lasted, but all good things must come to an end.
