Vikings takeaway No. 4

It was nice to see Justin Jefferson

It was awesome that Justin Jefferson made his long-awaited return to the Minnesota Vikings after recovering from a hamstring injury. Last year's Offensive Player of the Year was going to help out the struggling offense in a big way now that he was suiting up.

That enthusiasm was short-lived though. While attempting to catch a pass from Josh Dobbs, Jefferson absorbed a huge hit from a Raiders defender that knocked him out of the game after catching only two passes for 27 yards.

The initial diagnosis was that it was a chest injury. Minnesota took no chances with their star receiver and he left to get checked out at a medical facility in Las Vegas. Since then, there haven't been many updates on his situation.

The good news is that he re-joined the team and traveled home with them. However, this puts his status for the team's remaining games in question at a time when they really could use his assistance in a major way.
