Now that Kirk Cousins is a member of the Atlanta Falcons, the Minnesota Vikings are on the hunt for their next starting quarterback. They have signed Sam Darnold this offseason and are expected to pursue one of the top prospects during the 2024 NFL Draft.

At the moment, it appears Darnold will hold down the ship until the Vikings are ready to play their quarterback of the future, but some analysts are thinking outside the box when it comes to finding a signal caller for the upcoming season.

Although it's unlikely Minnesota will add another experienced quarterback to their roster, a unique idea was recently proposed by one of the most popular sports analysts during a broadcast of his nationally distributed show.

Could Tom Brady come to the Minnesota Vikings for 2024?

Tom Brady will be turning 47 years old this August but recently shared that he is not opposed to returning to the NFL if the circumstances are right. This has opened the door to speculation about several teams who need a quarterback and the Vikings are no exception to this group.

During an episode of The Herd with Colin Cowherd on FS1, Fox Sports Radio, and iHeart Radio, Colin talked about how Minnesota could be an appealing place for Brady to play football in 2024 if he gets the itch to play again.

Many fans and experts have declared Tom Brady as the greatest player of all time in the NFL. He has the accolades to make that argument with seven Super Bowl wins, five Super Bowl MVP trophies, three MVP awards, and 15 Pro Bowl nods.

Even if bringing Brady to Minnesota is unrealistic, it needs to be discussed by Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Vikings leadership as an idea. Whether or not they call to inquire about his services could depend on what happens at the draft.

If the Vikings miss out on their top quarterbacks during the 2024 NFL Draft, they may want to wait to get their quarterback of the future. If that's the case, having someone like Brady instead of Darnold could help Minnesota to be more competitive in a tough NFC North division.

Although Colin Cowherd can throw some fun ideas out that are outside the box, it would be interesting. It would be nice to be on the other side of a Tom Brady game since he didn't lose a single game against the Minnesota Vikings in his 23 year NFL career.
