Vikings Draft 2024: Pre-Scouting Combine 7-round mock draft
By Adam Carlson
Second-Round Pick (42nd Overall)
Bo Nix - QB (Oregon)
By not trading up for one of the top quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings wait patiently for their second pick to see if a player they still like is on the board. They end up taking Oregon's Bo Nix.
Nix may not be getting the same kind of attention as Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy, or Michael Penix Jr., but he has been consistently excellent over five years at Auburn and Oregon.
Not only has he thrown 113 touchdowns to only 26 interceptions in college, but he got better each year he played. His completion percentage and yards per attempt climbed every season, giving hope that he hasn't yet reached his potential.
After Nix, there is a pretty considerable drop in talent in the quarterback pool of the 2024 NFL Draft. so don't be shocked if the other big names come off the board and the Minnesota Vikings make a move for Bo Nix.
