Fifth-Round Pick No. 1 (156th Overall)

Omar Brown - CB (Nebraska)

It wouldn't feel like a Minnesota Vikings draft if a cornerback wasn't taken. Although the team has a veteran and several talented young players on their roster, it never hurts to continue adding to the position.

Omar Brown is an interesting player because he doesn't have a great statistical history. Still, the Minneapolis native has proved to be skillful at taking down ball carriers and excelled in run support in 2023.

Brown received recognition for his intelligence as well as his athleticism in school, as well as working with the community. Those values could translate well to the NFL. And at 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, he has a solid frame that could match up well against receivers.

An Honorable-Mention All-Big Ten defender, Omar Brown might start out as a special teams or rotational/situational player but there is no telling if he could work his way into a bigger role in the Minnesota Vikings defense.
